I’m Jeanne, mom to four great kids plus the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. I joyfully live the paradox of being an extroverted introvert. I love being with people while at the same time dream about living in a cozy cabin on a secluded, rocky beach far, far away.
I hold a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University with an emphasis in early childhood education and lived this scenario pretty happily for the first half of my life, teaching elementary school and then raising my four kids.
Around the age of 40, I found myself in the proverbial mid-life crisis. While I didn’t buy a sports car or shave my head, I did decide to get my nose pierced. What can I say? I live life on the edge. In all seriousness, it was a challenging time.
Dante, who is arguably the first to write about this phenomenon, starts out his epic poem, The Divine Comedy, like this: “Midway through life’s journey, I found myself in a dark wood, having lost the way.” I could relate. It was unexpected and disorienting, and in the end, was basically a summons of the soul that I could not ignore. This led me on a journey of self-inquiry and growth and is ultimately why you are reading these very words right now.
As a life coach, I love partnering with people who are in their own dark wood, or even just on a path that has some branches and logs in the way. I won’t tell you which way to go, but I’ll gladly hold the flashlight and walk with you. As long as you arrive with curiosity and commitment to do the work, I can promise the path eventually makes itself clear, (either that, or YOU clear the path yourself!)
I received my Diploma in Transformational Coaching through the Animas Center for Coaching which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation and the Association for Coaching. In addition to coaching, I am a Facilitator for Compassionate Integrity Training, and have received certification from the Dallas Yoga Center for Mindfulness Meditation Training.
